FAMILY-OPERATED

Parŏ Gangtey Spring Water is a small family operated  company.  Since the 15th Century people of  Paro Valley have used these waters for its healing and medicinal properties. Water is the purest at its source, Parŏ Gangtey Spring Water is tapped directly from the source.

The owners of Parŏ Gangtey believe in  a sustainable and green approach. Therefore, the barrels are recyclable and are reused for packaging large quantities of 20 litre barrels. We wish to share this pure spring water  from Bhutan with everyone.

Low Sodium Levels

Low sodium water is known to help our kidneys and keep our bodies hydrated.  Today our systems are bombarded  with overwhelmingly  large amounts of sodium found in our foods, artificial drink and juices.

Parŏ Gangtey Spring Water has some of the lowest sodium levels <0.05 mg/l.  This makes Parŏ Gangtey Spring Water safe for everyone to drink and is extremely beneficial to help flush the body of its impurities.

STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE

Tapped at 2700m meters above sea level from an artesian spring source, we have tired to preserve the rich historical and religious values associated with the origin of the water in its innate form.  In essence, the source is highly protected  ensuring the water is free from any external contaminants.

This avoids the scope of contamination along the production process and ensures that the rich heritage is passed on to all.

100% Natural

Natural spring water captured at the source

Committed to keep  70% of its land forested in its constitution, Bhutan prides itself to be one of the most pristine environments in the world.  Parŏ Gangtey spring water is 100% natural recharged from  these very own protected alpine mountains of Bhutan.

Legend has it that one of the tail ends of the mystical lake in Haa (Nub Tshona-patra) is the very spring that gushes above the grounds of the estates natural forest. In the old days the spring was well known for its healing properties.

WHERE DOES Parŏ GANGTEY SPRING WATER COME FROM?

Having the forested recharge area remained preserved over 4000 meters above sea level. The well protected 15th Century spring  gurgles out from the Estates grounds and is still considered to be in its purest form.

It also contains a PH of 7.6 and Total Dissolvable Solids (TDS) count of 106 because of its natural filtration through the Bhutan Himalayan lime bedrock.

The water undergoes minimal filtration after it is tapped directly from the source in Bhutan.

DIVERSIFYING AND TRANSFORMING AMID THE PANDEMIC

Meandering through the rough times, the owners of Parŏ Gangtey Spring Water have found a means to retain its hotel employees and providing them with opportunity to diversify their skill.

PRESERVING THE CULTURAL HERITAGE AND NATURAL RESOURCE

Adopting a clean business model, Parŏ Gangtey Spring Water will plough back some portion of the proceeds to plant trees along the catchment area to conserve the watershed area.

We will work with sustainable partners like the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest  and  partners in waste management to ensure our barrels are fully recycled.
